From the mythical realm of Asgard, the legends of the mythical Norse gods are about to be retold, albeit with a load of breakthrough CGI and special effects, Anthony Hopkins and the petite beauty, Natalie Portman. Not to forget, the Australian hunk, Christian Hemsworth plays the role of the Mjolnir bearing, Nordic god, the almighty Thor. The movie is the story of Thor’s coming to age, from being a young, brash and hot-headed son of Odin and the God of Thunder, to an ordinary, powerless human being, to his ascension as Asgard’s ruler. Well, that’s enough to tickle your senses and if it does, then my friend, now you’re among those who’re dying to watch Thor online. Adopted from the comic series of the Marvel Universe, this movie depicts the first part of the Thor’s story.
Also seen in the movie is Thor’s treacherous step-brother, Loki. Portrayed by Tom Hiddleston, he is a diabolical character with a jealous eye on Odin’s place as the ruler of Asgard. No wonder he is pleased when Thor is banished to the realm of Earth. The movie is an absolute electric combination of special effects and credible performances by the cast, including Portman and Hemsworth as an amorous pair. The tension that clouds over the confrontational scenes between Thor, Odin and the treacherous Loki is palpable and enjoyable.
