The French maestro, Luc Besson, returns to the director’s chair with this extraordinary fantasy tale based on the graphic novel by Jacques Tardi. The Extraordinary Adventures of Adele Blanc-Sec features the extraordinarily beautiful Louis Bourgoin in the eponymous title role of a fearless adventurer-cum-novelist. Set in a Paris of early 20th century, the movie retells the experiences of Adele as she undergoes one mind-boggling adventure after another, so that her sister could live.
She travels to Egypt, in the hope of resurrecting an ancient medicine man, who may have the cure to her sister’s illness. She intends to make him live again by using the seminal techniques that have been developed by a Parisian scientist. While she is out battling monsters, magicians, suitors, and the likes, the scientist brings to life a millions of years old pterodactyl. As expected, the pterodactyl starts to wreck havoc on the streets of the romantic city, much to the dismay of its citizens. Watch The Extraordinary Adventures of Adele Blanc-Sec from here, to see how this courageous and witty heroine takes it all in her stride. Enjoy some splendid special effects and action sequences against the stunning background of a decadent city.
