Madea's Big Happy Family spins around Shirley, who is the head of the family. Her family includes five grown-up kids (three daughters and two sons) and a brother. She spends a gleeful life, until she is diagnosed with cancer and learns that she doesn’t have many days to survive. In order to acquaint her family members with this depressing fact, she calls for a meeting. But, her children have their own pre-occupations to deal with.
